Error messages when attempting to log time in My Work

Problem

A user attempts to log time in My Work and receives the error message, “User Invalid”. Additionally, when they try to edit an existing worklog, they get the error “HTTP 401 Unauthorized.”

Solution

Currently, there is no clear solution to these error messages. They often seem to resolve themselves.

To help us identify the root cause of the problem, please open a support ticket and provide the following information.

  • Does a hard refresh of your browser window help?

  • Does this happen in an incognito/private window?

  • Can you try a different network?

  • Can you log time in other areas without receiving an error? (the work item, tempo report, etc.)

  • Do you know of other users experiencing the same problem?

  • If you know your Jira admin, can they use the “log in as another user” function to impersonate you and see if they also encounter the errors?

  • A screen recording reproducing the error.

  • Provide a HAR and log file from the steps in the screen recording.
