Common errors working with Tempo

Problem

Tempo is not working, or you receive intermittent error messages trying to access the product, log time, or run reports.

These include,

  • Something went wrong

  • Something’s gone wrong

  • Something went wrong on our end

  • Oops, something went wrong! 

  • Opps, you found a dead link.

Solution

These are pretty generic errors that, on their own, don’t give enough information for us to provide a clear solution.

Possible reasons

  • Your Tempo license has expired

    • Have your Admin verify the license

  • There is a 3rd party browser extension interfering (Adblock, Ublock, etc)

    • Disable all extensions and try again.

  • You’re missing the Tempo Timesheet Access Global permission

    • Verify the permission Jira settings > System > Global permissions

  • You tried to access timesheet approvals through an email link

    • You need to be already logged into Jira before opening the link

If neither of those reasons appears to be the problem, please open a support ticket with the following information:

  • Does this happen in another browser or in an incognito/private window?

  • Are other users receiving the same error?

  • Can the issue be reproduced when connected to a different network?

  • Can the issue be reproduced on a different workstation?

  • A full page screenshot with the error message (that shows the address bar and logged-in user)
