Error message: "The user does not have permission to log work on destination space."

Problem

Why do we get the error, "The user does not have permission to log work on destination space" when trying to log time?

Solution

There are a few possible reasons you would receive this error

1. You don't have the "Work On Issues" Jira Project permission for that project.

2. If you’re logging time for another user, they don’t have the "Work On Issues" and/or “Browse Projects” Jira Project permission for that project.

3. A workflow property was configured that prevents you from logging time.
