Some of my work items show complete change history in Jira, but for other issues, historical data for specific fields doesn't appear in my Power BI Connector export at all — even without any filters applied to the Histories table. Why is this happening?

This is almost always because the historical data simply doesn't exist in Jira for that specific field on that specific issue — not something the connector is filtering out or failing to export.
The Power BI Connector pulls its history data directly from Jira's own change history. It can only export what Jira itself has recorded. If a field was never actually changed on that issue (or the change wasn't logged by Jira for that field), there's nothing for the connector to pull, so the field won't appear in the historical export for that issue.
To confirm this for a specific issue:

Open the work item directly in Jira.

Go to the Activity tab → History section.

Check whether the field in question actually has recorded changes there.
If the field shows no history in Jira itself, that confirms the data was never captured on Jira's side, and the connector has nothing to export.
