I'm considering temporarily cancelling my Power BI Connector for Jira subscription. What happens to my data and configuration? Will everything still be there if I resubscribe later?
Answer
The Power BI Connector does not store any of your actual Jira data — only encrypted configuration metadata (data source name, hash, selected fields/tables, and filters). Cancelling your subscription does not affect your Jira data itself, since none of it was ever stored on our side.
This metadata has no automatic retention period and is kept indefinitely, stored according to your Atlassian data residency setting, until you specifically request its deletion. If you resubscribe or reinstall the app before requesting deletion, your existing data source configurations should still be there and functional.
No backup or export is necessary before cancelling, since your Jira data was never stored by us to begin with. If any issues arise, do not hesitate to contact our Support team.
