How to retrieve SLA data from Jira to Power BI

Question

We’ve the “Power BI Connector for Jira” installed in our Atlassian Jira Cloud. We were wondering if it’s possible to retrieve the SLAs created in the project to Power BI.

Answer

You can find built-in Jira Service Management SLA metrics (such as “Time to first response” and “Time to resolution”) under the “Jira Service Management” tab > the “Service Management Custom Fields” table:

In Power BI, these SLA fields will be exported in separate tables with several columns. Feel free to review our entity relationship diagram (ERD) for more details.

If you use the “Time to SLA” app instead of the default JSM SLA, you can also set up a Time to SLA integration and fetch custom SLA information from this plugin, as described here: https://help.tempo.io/powerbiconnector/latest/time-to-sla
