The Time Tracking panel provides a view of the Original estimate, remaining time, and logged hours in the work item.

Remaining - the time left on the work item. You can update it manually at any time, through Jira’s Time remaining field or when logging time, so it won’t always equal the Estimated minus the Logged time.

Parent work items
In an epic work item, the time-tracking panel rolls up hours from its child issues.
Currently, this only rolls up one level in the hierarchy, Parent > Child.
On other work item types, if it has a sub-task, you will see an option to “include sub-tasks,” which will roll up their hours.
When “Include sub-tasks” is enabled, Tempo sums the sub-tasks’ Estimated, Remaining, and Logged values on the parent. It doesn’t recalculate them. Original and remaining estimates are Jira fields tracked separately on each work item, so estimates also need to be set on the sub-tasks. If a sub-task has no estimate, only its logged hours are added, and the parent’s Remaining won’t reflect that time.
