Question

What to do with the data dump?

Answer

The datadump.sql file is a PostgreSQL dump, and it needs to be restored using psql.

Please follow the steps below:

  1. Install PostgreSQL (if not already installed):
    https://www.postgresql.org/download/
Make sure psql and createdb are available in your terminal after installation.

  2. Decrypt the dump file:

Use your GPG private key to decrypt the file before proceeding.

  3. Create a database:

    createdb tempodata

  4. Load the dump into the database:

    psql tempodata < datadump.sql

  5. Connect to the database and explore:

    psql tempodata
