Building a Structure with Generators
The following article is for structures built in Power mode.
Generators are special rules that tell Structure what issues to show you from Jira and where to place them within the structure. Structures built using generators will update themselves automatically when there are relevant changes in Jira.
To add a generator to a structure, open the +Add menu and choose the type of generator you want to add:
Insert - This is where you will typically start. Insert generators add issues to the structure based on field values, a JQL query, or an agile board.
Extend - Add additional issues based on issues already in the structure using the Parent field or issue links.
Filter - Remove issues based on a JQL query.
Group - Group issues by Jira fields, custom fields, issue attributes, or issue links.
Sort - Order issues based on Jira fields or formula results.
