Why does authentication in Power BI Desktop fail?
Solution
📌 Cause: Entering a Jira API token, a Jira account password, or a 3rd-party app token into the Power BI authentication form.
✅ Solution: Clear permissions in Power BI Desktop (File > Options and settings > Data source settings > Clear Permissions) and reconnect using Basic Authentication with your Jira Email and your Export Password.
