Problem
The GroupMembers table is visible in Power BI and shows the column names, but no rows are loaded. The other tables in the data source return data normally.
Solution
Some tables can’t be exported without a Jira API token. For three of them (Project Roles, Group Members, and User Jira Properties), the token must also belong to a Jira Administrator. Without it, the table appears with its columns but returns no rows.
The tables that require a Jira API token are:
-
Project Roles (Administrator only)
-
Group Members (Administrator only)
-
User Jira Properties (Administrator only)
-
User Profiles
-
Sprint Reports
-
Sprint Report Issues
-
Velocity Charts
-
All Assets (Insight) tables
-
Users: inactive users aren’t exported without a token
-
Advanced Roadmaps fields in the Issue Custom Fields table
For all other tables, a Jira API token is not needed. Without a token, the export may also be limited to 10,000 users.
