Managing Worklogs in Bulk

With the Bulk Worklog Editor, you can delete or move multiple worklogs from one Jira issue to the other at once. You can also edit the account selected in the Account work attribute and Billable hours data for multiple worklogs at once. You can modify up to 5000 worklogs at a time.

You can perform only one bulk action at a time. If you navigate away from the bulk editor and return while the bulk action is still in progress, the progress screen is displayed again instead of being able to search and perform another bulk action.

Accessing the Bulk Worklog Editor

You can open the Bulk Worklog Editor from the following locations:

• The Logged Time Report

  • Open Reports and then the More menu (…). Select Bulk Edit.

• Your Team Timesheets

  • Open your Team’s Timesheet and then the More menu (...). Select Bulk Edit.

• The Account Timesheet

  • Open the Account’s  Timesheet and the More menu (...). Select Bulk Edit.

• Your own Timesheet

  • Open your timesheet from My Work and then the More menu (…). Select Bulk Edit.

Use the Timesheet view to filter the worklogs to the ones you want to modify.

Updating Worklogs When Changing Multiple Worklogs

On occasion, a team member will modify a worklog that is part of a bulk change. In general, this does not negatively impact the bulk change. You or your team members can receive warnings if a team member does one of the following:

• deletes a worklog before the bulk editor can update it.

• updates or deletes the original worklog after the bulk editor updates it. For example, if the worklog is open in the UI and the team member hasn’t updated or refreshed their browser, they can edit the original worklog.

We recommend verifying that no new worklogs have been created after your bulk change. You can update your filters or sort by the Created date.
