Setting Global Structure Permissions

By default, any logged-in user with access to Structure can create new structures. However, Structure admins can restrict this ability to specific users, groups, or space roles.

Structure and Jira Admins always have permission to create new structures.

To modify creation permissions:

Go to the Marketplace apps page in your Jira admin settings.
Select Permissions in the Structure section of the sidebar.
In Create Structures, select +Add people.
Select one of the following categories:
- Everyone: The default permission that lets any user with Structure access create new structures.
- Users: Grants permission to the selected users.
- Group: Grants permission to the selected groups.
- Space Role: Grants permission to the selected roles, based on the selected space.
Use the search field to select the users, groups, or roles you want to grant permissions to.
1. If you selected Space Role, you need to first select a space before you can select from a list of that space’s roles.
Select Apply.
