Data Residency

Structure, Structure.Gantt, and Confluence Helper for Structure all support data residency for the following regions:

• Germany (Frankfurt): AWS eu-central-1

• EU: AWS eu-central-1

• United States: AWS us-east-2 

To migrate your Structure/Gantt/Confluence Helper data to a specific location, please refer to Atlassian's guide to moving your Marketplace apps data. Please do not delete an app, unless requested to do so by Atlassian or the Structure support team.

Integration with Other Tempo Apps

The Structure app functions regardless of where Jira is hosted. However, when integrating Structure with other apps (e.g., Structure + Timesheets, Structure + Custom Charts, Structure + Gantt, Structure data + Confluence Helper, Structure+Strategic Roadmaps), both apps must reside in the same data residency location.

After Migrating Your App Data

If you have an integration with Timesheets, Planner, and/or Cost Tracker enabled, you will need to reinstall it following this guide: Tempo Configuration.

Troubleshooting

Structure, Gantt Charts for Structure, and Confluence Helper for Structure need to be installed in the same region to work together. If any of your apps have been moved to a different region, all other apps should be moved as well.

• You receive an error when switching to Gantt mode or adding a Structure macro to a Confluence page – Make sure Structure and Confluence Helper for Structure have been migrated to the same region as your Jira instance. If not, schedule a migration for your Structure data using the Atlassian Admin panel. If the problem persists after the migration is complete, please contact our Support Team so they can investigate.

• You uninstalled/reinstalled Structure and have lost data – Please stop using Structure and contact our Support Team immediately.

• Your integration with Timesheets, Planner, or Cost Tracker is no longer working – Reinstall the integration following this guide: Tempo Configuration.

• You receive a “Structure is not eligible” message when trying to move Structure data – You may see this message if Jira is pinned to a location not currently supported by Structure. Resolution:

  1. Move Jira to a supported location along with the required apps.

  2. Once Jira and Structure are aligned in the same location, Structure will become eligible for migration.

  3. After completing the data move, you may move Jira back to the original location, if necessary.
