Set Custom Display Language and Date Format

In Roadmunk, the display format for dates can be updated quickly and easily from the browser. If you find that you are being shown the incorrect date format on your roadmaps in the building environment, there are a few places that you can check to confirm that you're currently setup to use the correct language.

Browser-Based Language Settings

From inside your browser's settings menu, you can access a variety of language settings and define the default languages for your browsing experience. In our supported browsers, these can be found in the following locations:

Google Chrome

  1. Navigate to your Settings menu.

  2. In the left-hand menu options, select Advanced to reveal additional options.

  3. In the Advanced options, select Languages.

  4. On the page that appears, click into the Language dropdown.

  5. A list of active languages in the browser should appear in this menu.

  6. Add or remove those languages as needed.

  7. Changes will be saved automatically

Microsoft Edge

  1. Navigate to your Settings menu.

  2. In the left-hand menu options, select Languages.

  3. A list of active languages in the browser should appear in this menu.

  4. Add or remove those languages as needed.

  5. Changes will saved automatically.

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Navigate to your Preferences menu.

  2. In the left-hand menu options, select General.

  3. Once in the General menu, scroll down to the Language section.

  4. Select the Choose button to view a list of active languages in your browser.

  5. Once your languages have been set, select the Ok button to save the changes

MacOS Safari

  1. From your browser, click on the Apple in the top-left corner of your screen.

  2. In the menu that appears, select System Preferences.

  3. In the System Preferences menu, choose the Language & Region option.

  4. In the Language & Region menu, select the Apps tab.

  5. A list of custom application language settings can be viewed here.

  6. Click the Plus (+) button in the bottom right corner of the list to add a custom setting.

  7. In the modal that appears, select Safari in the Application dropdown.

  8. Select the language you'd like to view Safari in under the Language dropdown.

  9. Click Add to Save these changes.

System-Based Language Settings

Windows Machines & Devices

  1. Click into your Start menu and select the Settings option.

  2. In this menu, select the Time & Language option.

  3. Once in the Time & Language menu, select Language.

  4. This should reveal a list of display languages that you can choose from.

  5. Languages can be added or removed as needed from this list.

  6. Changes will be saved automatically.

MacOS Machines & Devices

  1. From your desktop, click on the Apple in the top-left corner of your screen.

  2. In the menu that appears, select System Preferences.

  3. In the System Preferences menu, choose the Language & Region option.

  4. A list of languages and other regional settings will be shown on the General tab.

  5. Languages can be added or removed using the Plus (+) or Minus (-) buttons, respectively.

  6. Changes will be saved automatically.
