Export all Workspace Data

Question

How do I export all of the Workspace data into an Excel spreadsheet?

Answer

There isn’t a single "export everything" button that bundles all projects, tasks, assignments, and logged hours into one Excel file. However, you can easily gather this data using separate exports in the new interface and combining them.

Here are the correct steps for your version:

1. Export Logged Hours

  • Where to go: Use the left-side navigation and select People. From there, navigate to Time View at the top, and select the Export Data sub-view. (Note: This requires Timesheet Reviewer or Exporter privileges.)

  • Action: Set your date range, apply any filters, customize your columns if needed, and click Download Excel File.

2. Export Projects, Tasks, & Assignments (Using Table Reports)

Instead of extracting individual plan items from the dashboard, you can build a customizable Table Report.

  • Where to go: Go to Library in the left-side navigation.

  • Action:

  1. Click the + Reports button at the top.

  2. Give your report a name, choose a color, and select the report type you need (such as Project, Task, or Assignment). Click Create.

  3. Once inside the report, click Design to open design mode. Here you can scope the location (e.g., specific collections), filter by Person Assigned, and check the Show Totals box if you want a summary row.

  4. Finally, use the download option to export the data directly to Excel.
