Problem
When I click Export Gantt chart, it is not possible to select the PDF format; the ‘Open browser print dialog (e.g., to print to PDF)’ option is greyed out. It has this error message in the pop-up window:
It is not possible to use this option in Firefox and Safari browsers on macOS. Please use any Chromium-based browser (e.g. Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge) to be able to export to PDF.
Solution
At this time, it is only possible to export Gantt charts to PDF using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge on macOS. This limitation is set because of the existing technical issues in Firefox and Safari browsers, which severely affect the exported files. Once these issues are addressed in the browsers, the PDF export will be made available. Until then, please either use a different browser for exporting charts in PDF, or use the SVF format.
