Custom Charts, Issue List, and Simple Search all have a code that gets generated once their settings have been configured. This code can easily be copied, shared with others, then imported into separate Custom Charts, Issue List, and Simple Search gadgets/macros so the setup can easily be reused.
General Export Steps - Jira and Confluence
This method is applicable in Jira and Confluence

Navigate to the gadget or macro and place it in Edit mode

On the right side of the configuration dialog, click the Import / Export tab

Click Copy to clipboard
Quick Export Steps
This method is applicable for the Custom Charts and Issue List gadgets in Jira only.

Navigate to the gadget and hover over it until you see a small menu

Click the export icon, then click Copy chart configuration in the menu. This copies the gadget configuration code to your clipboard

Paste the code into Slack, email, however you communicate with your colleagues, then follow these Import steps to reuse the configuration
Import Steps
This method is applicable in Jira and Confluence
After you’ve copied the configuration code (exported it), add Custom Charts or Issue List to your Dashboard or page

On the right side of the configuration dialog, click the Import / Export tab

Paste the configuration code into the box (Ctrl + v), then click Import Configuration

Click Save or Insert once the configuration settings load
