Use Timesheets in Custom Charts

Custom Charts supports integration with Timesheets by Tempo. Teams can use Timesheets to log and track the time spent on work items. Connecting with Timesheets lets you create charts and reports based on this data.

Connecting Custom Charts and Timesheets

The following procedure is for Cloud instances. The connection to Timesheets is automatic in Data Center instances.

Before you can connect Custom Charts with Timesheets, you must have an active license and installation for Timesheets by Tempo.

  1. Select Apps > Tempo.

  2. Select Apps from the Tempo sidebar.

  3. Select Install on the Custom Charts card if your instance has a license, or Try it Free if it doesn’t.

Even if you don’t connect the two apps, you can create charts that track the total or average time spent on work items. However, selecting Worklog Author as a segment source will display the author as Tempo Timesheets.

Supported Fields

The fields Remaining Estimate, Original Estimate, and Time Spent are Jira fields that you can update in Timesheets.
