Editing Your Worklogs in My Work

Editing your own worklogs requires the Edit Own Worklogs permission for the project to which the time record belongs.

You can edit the date, time, description, and hours of worklogs in My Work. You can also copy and move worklogs between dates and even change (move) the Jira issue to which a worklog is logged.

To access the Calendar, select My Work in the sidebar.

Edit a Worklog

  1. Click the worklog you want to edit or its edit (pencil) icon.

  2. Make the changes in the Edit Time form, which is similar to The Log Time Form.

  3. When you are finished, click Update.

Delete a Worklog

Click the delete icon (trashcan) of the worklog you want to delete. A notification gives you the option to undo the delete action.

If the worklog originated from a plan or an activity card, it is deleted and then reappears as its original plan or activity card. If you manually created and logged time, then the worklog doesn't reappear as an activity after you delete it.

Move a Worklog to a Different Date

Click and drag a worklog to another day of the current week.

Move (change) a Worklog to a Different Jira Issue

  1. Click the worklog you want to edit or its edit (pencil) icon.

  2. In the Edit Time form, select a new Jira issue in the Issue field at the top of the form.

  3. Click Update. The worklog is now logged to the new Jira issue.

Copy (duplicate) a Worklog

You can copy (duplicate) a worklog using either of these two methods:

  1. Hold down the Alt key (for Windows) or the Option key (for Mac).

  2. Drag a worklog to another day of the current week. A copy is created there.

OR

  1. Click the copy icon on the worklog you want to copy.

The duplicate worklog is added to the same day as the original.

  2. Drag the duplicate worklog to another day of the current week.

Modify a Closed Worklog

If you want to edit a closed timesheet, notify your team lead, manager, or Tempo administrator. Depending on how Tempo is set up, the person who approves your timesheet or a Tempo administrator must do one or more of the following:

  • If you do not receive email reminders, your timesheet must be rejected.

  • If you do receive email reminders, you must be granted a grace period for the closed period.

  • If your organization manually closes time periods, the period must be re-opened in Period Management.
