Creating New Issues

To create a new issue from within Structure:

1. Select the location where the new issue should be placed. The issue will be added to same level as the selected item.
2. Open the Add menu and select Issue.

Enter the information for the new issue. Some information will be preselected based on the rules for the structure and its location. In this example, the project, issue type, and epic have been preselected.

If you need to fill in additional fields for the issue, click More details... This will open the Jira Create Issue dialogue.

Keyboard Shortcut

Save some time! To create a new issue, use the keyboard shortcut: Enter.

To create a new sub-issue of the currently selected item, use the shortcut: Shift+Enter.
