There are three roles available for using the Power BI Connector for ServiceNow. Each role defines what actions a user can take with data sources and table exports.

PBI ADMIN
Role name:x_acsof_power_bi_s.powerbi_admin
Users with this role can:-
Access the Power BI Connector for ServiceNow plugin.

Export ServiceNow tables using the Power BI Connector.
(Export is limited to tables the user has access to, based on ServiceNow permissions.) -
Create, read, update, and delete data sources.

View the full list of ServiceNow tables, if they are also granted read access to the
sys_db_objecttable by assigning two additional roles:nlq_adminandpa_analyst.

PBI EDITOR
Role name:x_acsof_power_bi_s.powerbi_editor
Users with this role can:-
Access the Power BI Connector for ServiceNow plugin.

Export ServiceNow tables using the Power BI Connector.
(Export is limited to tables the user has access to, based on ServiceNow permissions.) -
Create, read, and update data sources (deletion not allowed).

PBI VIEWER
Role name:x_acsof_power_bi_s.powerbi_viewer
Users with this role can:-
Access the Power BI Connector for ServiceNow plugin.

Export ServiceNow tables using the Power BI Connector.
(Export is limited to tables the user has access to, based on ServiceNow permissions.) -
Read data sources (no create, update, or delete permissions).
