The Gantt Charts gadget/macro is blank

Problem

My Gantt Charts gadget on a Jira dashboard shows no data. My Gantt Charts macro in Confluence is empty.

Solution

  • If the Gantt Charts gadget stopped showing any data, e.g., after an upgrade, it’s possible that the plugin cache was corrupted in Jira. Clearing the cache can help:

  1. Stop Jira.

  2. In your jira-home directory, delete folders JIRA_HOME/plugins/.bundled-plugins and JIRA_HOME/plugins/.osgi-plugins

  3. Start Jira.

  • If the Gantt Charts macro on a Confluence page stopped working or it can’t be configured, then it’s possible that an old Gantt Charts macro is being used, and it’s no longer compatible with your Confluence version.
