The latest version of Cross-Team PI Planner introduces two new board templates, a custom board creator, improved estimates, and the ability to copy a board.
Roadmapping (with Fix Versions)
After the initial release of Cross-Team PI Planner, one of the most common requests from our early adopters was the possibility to prepare a higher-level plan with epics to fix versions. The new Roadmapping template organizes your issues into columns based on Fix Versions and allows you to break down each column by the field of your choice.
Using the Roadmapping template, you can:
Manage issues from multiple projects, and specify exactly which issues you want to see - in the example above, we're only looking at epics
Display multiple versions in each column - this is extremely helpful when you have multiple projects with versions which define the same period
Group the issues in each column by another Jira field or link type - we've grouped ours by initiatives
Track estimates for each Fix Version
Visualize dependencies and identify conflicts in the plan

Agile Board Template
The new Agile Board template helps you easily visualize the Kanban or Scrum process by organizing issues into columns based on their status.
Using the Agile Board template, you can:
Manage issues from multiple projects, and specify exactly which issues you want to see
Display multiple statuses in each column
Group the issues in each column by another Jira field or link type
Track estimates for each Fix Version
Visualize dependencies and identify conflicts in the plan

Custom Scenarios
Not every project is managed the same way. The new Custom template allows you choose exactly how you want issues organized into columns and swimlanes:
Select an issue field to group items into columns - you can use Fix Versions, Status, Assignee, Labels or another field that's important to the project
Assign specific field values for each column
Group your issues into swimlanes by any field or link type
Drag and drop cards to update values
Visualize and manage dependencies
Track estimates and set limits for each column

Improved estimates
We've made it easier to track estimates across your board:
Time Tracking fields are now supported for all board types
Simple count estimates are supported for Roadmapping, Agile, and custom boards
In a PI Panning board, you can set a Default Sprint Limit for each team to be used if none is specified on the board
Estimates can now be hidden via the View dropdown in the toolbar

Copy a Board
If you need a slightly different view of your data, there's no need to build a new board from scratch - just copy an existing board and adjust the configuration.
