Activity Tab - The second tab on the right-hand panel of the Item & Field Card which shows a log of changes and user comments.

This will appear if Items or Milestones were originally imported to Roadmunk from an external application.

F

Field - Categories or attributes that you can use to organize, group, filter, and pivot roadmap data in different ways. Simply put, Fields contain Item data.

Field Card -The window that appears when you click on a Field. It houses all of that particular Field's data including it's values, other Field editors, other roadmaps it's used in, and an Activity Tab.

Field Value -The individual components that make up a Field. For example, you have a Field called Status, and its Field Values are Future, Soon, Up Next, In Progress, and Complete.

Field Tab - The first tab on the right-hand panel of the Item Card which shows the assigned Field Values that have been specified for this Item.

Filter - A way to specify that only certain Items show on a roadmap; Filters prevent even the largest roadmaps from appearing too cluttered.

Formatting Menu - The central menu for organizing the layout of your roadmap. Here you can select your Headers, colours, and customize the display of your visualization.

H

Header - The selected Field that acts as a title to organize plotting of Items. In the Timeline view, Headers are on the left side and are pivoted against a timescale along the top. In the Swimlane view, both rows and columns have Headers.

Header Orientation - A formatting option that determines if your Headers are stacked and displayed horizontally or vertically.

Hide Empty Headers - A formatting option which removes Items that have not been assigned a Field Value based on the Field you're using as your Header or Sub-Header. This will avoid having a stream labeled "[Field Name] : None" on your roadmap.

I

Internal ID - Used to match the Items or Milestones in Roadmunk in case you import the exported Items back into Roadmunk after editing them in an external application.

Inversion Arrows - A formatting option to easily swap your Headers in your visualization. Example, the Field used as your row Header would become your column Header, and vice versa.

Item Card - The window that appears when you click on an Item. It houses all of that particular Item's data and is comprised of the Context Panel, Fields Tab, and Activity Tab.

Linked Items - User-defined connections between two or more Items which specify whether one Item blocks, is blocking, is related to, or moves with another Item.

M

Merge - An action to combine numerous Fields into one to help reduce clutter and prevent duplicate Fields.

S

Sharing Settings - Controls that determine which users you share your roadmap(s) with, and what specific permission the user has on that roadmap.

Source - The Source Field contains the name of the roadmap from which you exported the Items or Milestones. This Field allows you to merge and work with Items or Milestones from different roadmaps while still being able to separate them.

Standalone Sub-Items - A formatting option to break the parent-child visualization and have Sub-Items displayed on their own as individual Items.

Stream - Refers to all Items within a given Header or Sub-Header.

Swimlane View - A theme-oriented visualization that works best for "no dates" roadmaps or more agile roadmaps that can be pivoted on themes, sprints, or epics.
