How to set the Start date for specific tasks to today's date in Gantt Charts

The work on some of the tasks on my charts has not started. The project date of my chart was set a while ago, and these tasks remain in the past. I would like to ensure that these tasks are always scheduled to start today, until the actual work on them begins.

You can achieve this in multiple ways:

• Adjust the project start date daily. This will move all automatically scheduled tasks to start on a specific date.

• Use a Slice configuration for all such tasks. For example, you can include all open tasks that are not yet ‘in progress’: https://help.tempo.io/gantt/latest/slice-based-configurations and set their Start Date as the Formula option. And use the today() formula. As a result, the Start date of these tasks will be automatically changed every day. And once a task reaches the ‘in progress’ state, it will be excluded from the Slice’s scope.
