Custom Charts for Confluence (Cloud)

Authorize Custom Charts for Confluence

Atlassian’s default security restrictions prevents Custom Charts for Confluence from viewing your Jira data without authorization. To get the most out of Custom Charts for Confluence, you need to authorize it to access the data on any Jira instances you want to pull from.

Authorizing access to Jira data

Users on your instance need to complete this one-time process to insert charts on Confluence pages.

  1. Go to any Confluence page and select Edit to enter editing mode.

  2. Insert a new macro and enter Custom in the search field.

  3. Select Custom Jira Charts from the results. The first time you insert the macro, the following message displays.

After authorizing Custom Charts for Confluence, you only need to repeat this process if your authorization is removed.

Removing authorization

If you need to remove authorization and block Custom Charts from accessing your data:

  1. Go to the Connected apps section of your Atlassian profile settings.

  2. Select Remove access on the Custom Jira Charts for Confluence row.

  3. Select Remove after reading the displayed message.

Uninstalling the Custom Charts for Confluence app will automatically remove any authorizations.
