2018-01-11 | Tempo Timesheets for Server 8.7 Release

This release for Tempo Timesheets for Server includes a new version of the worklog calendar. In the new Worklog Calendar, issue suggestions have been replaced with plans. By clicking on plans, the user can log hours directly onto the plan. The release also includes a number of other improvements, bugfixes, and database changes.



Database changes

  • Upgrade task to save inherit values where before the inheritance was implicit.

Improvements 

  • A new version of the Worklog Calendar has been released. In the new Worklog Calendar, issue suggestions have been replaced with plans. By clicking on plans, the user can log hours directly onto the plan.

  • The Global Configuration: 'Maximum hours per day per user' has changed. The setting `Unlimited` is no longer capped at 99 hours per worklog, and is now unlimited.
  • When exporting Excel from getWorklog servlet, the user can choose to show or hide the issue and worklog details by using the flag parameters addIssueDetails and addWorklogDetails, respectively.

  • Inherit value is saved explicitly when an issue inherits a Team from a parent issue or Epic. The release includes an upgrade task to save inherit values where before the inheritance was implicit.

Bug fixes and minor improvements

  • Customers with MySQL database can not delete plans - Fixed
  • Accounts could not be removed from an issue if the project was no longer linked to the account - Fixed 
  • Suggestions for Account JQL functions were not working - Fixed 
  • Plan per day field in Plan Time form shows total number of hours planned when a plan is created for multiple days, instead of hours per day - Fixed
  • Upgrade tasks causing problems in upgrading to newer versions - Fixed
  • Inactive users were fetched in the user picker that caused performance problems on some JIRA instances - Fixed
  • Changes of work attribute value with special characters are not displayed until after refresh - Fixed
  • Broken links in Plan approval email - Fixed
  • Reviewers, other than Team Leads, cannot be selected when submitting timesheets from approvals page - Fixed
  • Worklogs disappear when moved to issues with the jira.permission.work.denied=true property set - Fixed
  • The keyboard shortcut 'w' did not work in the Dashboard view - Fixed
  • Users cannot scroll to the latest worklog in the worklog calendar - Fixed
  • Endless spinner in Worklog Calendar if the logged-in user cannot be assigned to any issue -Fixed
  • In some cases, the original estimate is updated when a user logs work - Fixed
  • API token is not working for the getWorklogReport -Fixed
  • tempoEpicIssues JQL function causes performance problems on JIRA instances if it's returning a large number of issues - Fixed


Upgrading to Tempo Timesheets for Server 8.7 is free for all customers with an active Tempo license. Upgrade Tempo by using the JIRA Universal Plugin Manager (UPM).
